Services - Turn Your Product Vision Into a Viable Plan

Before you invest in development, get clarity on what to build, what it costs, and whether it will work.

The Problem

The Idea Is Not the Hard Part

You have a vision. Maybe it is a new product, a platform expansion, or technology that differentiates your business. The challenge is not imagination. It is knowing:

  • Which version of this idea is actually viable?
  • What will it really cost to build?
  • Where do you even start?

Most product investments fail before development begins. Not from bad ideas, but from unclear scope, misunderstood costs, and building the wrong thing first.

The Solution

What Product Discovery Actually Is

Product Discovery is structured collaboration between your vision and our experience. Across a small number of working sessions, scheduled around you, we turn an idea into a decision you can act on.

This is not validation theater. We are not here to tell you your idea is great. We are here to pressure-test it, scope it realistically, and identify the fastest path to something real.

You bring the domain knowledge. We bring the product, engineering, and design expertise. Together, we define what success looks like and how to get there.

The Process

In the sessions

We dig into your business, your customers, and your vision. We ask the hard questions. We challenge assumptions. This is the part that needs you in the room.

  • • Stakeholder interviews
  • • Customer and market analysis
  • • Technical feasibility assessment
  • • Competitive landscape review

Between them

We research, pressure-test, and synthesize on our own time. No fluff. No 50-page documents you will never read. Just what you need to move forward.

  • • Prioritized feature scope
  • • Technical architecture direction
  • • Realistic budget and timeline
  • • Go/no-go recommendation

Outcomes

How This Ends

We do not promise you a document. We promise you will know what to do next, specifically enough to act on it. What that looks like depends on what the work turns up.

  • Sometimes: do not build it. The most valuable outcome we produce, and the one that saves the most money. If the honest answer is that this should not be built, or not yet, or not by you, you will hear it plainly and you will hear exactly why.
  • Sometimes: build less, in a specific order. A smaller first version than the one you arrived with, sequenced so the riskiest assumption gets tested before the expensive work starts.
  • Sometimes: a scope an engineer can start on. Prioritized, feasible, costed honestly, and ready to hand to whoever is building it. Including us, if that turns out to make sense.
  • Always: the reasoning, in your hands. Whatever the answer is, you leave able to explain it to a co-founder, a board, or the person who was most excited about the original idea. You are never left holding a conclusion you cannot defend.

Investment

One Engagement, One Price

No tiers to choose between. The scope of the work flexes to the problem, the commitment we ask of you does not.

Product Discovery

1 to 4 working sessions, up to 15 hours of your team's time

$5,000

Sessions are scheduled around your calendar, not ours. Most of the work happens between them.

  • Working sessions with you and the people who know the problem
  • Research, pressure-testing, and competitive landscape
  • Technical feasibility assessed by people who have built this before
  • Honest cost and effort projections, not optimistic guesses
  • A clear recommendation, including do not build it if that is the answer

Outcome:

You will know what to do next, specifically enough to act on Monday, and you will be able to explain why to anyone who asks.

Why Product Matter

We are not a dev shop that needs to sell you hours. We are not consultants who hand you a report and disappear.

We are a product leadership team: two CPOs working together, one focused on engineering and architecture, one focused on design and user experience. Combined, we bring over 35 years of building products people actually use, including award-winning work for clients ranging from startups to enterprise.

  • Product leadership, not project management
  • 20+ years of UI/UX design expertise paired with 15+ years of engineering
  • US-based strategy, design, and architecture
  • We build what we plan

From Discovery to Development

Product Discovery is often the first step in a longer engagement. Once we have clarity on what to build, we become your product team: strategy, design, and engineering working as one unit.

Our approach

  • US-based product and engineering leadership managing the entire build
  • Award-winning UI/UX design integrated from day one, not bolted on at the end
  • AI-assisted development where it accelerates without compromising quality
  • Strategic use of offshore resources for appropriate features, managed by experienced leads
  • Fast timeline without sacrificing quality, security, or user experience

Typical v1 MVP investment: $50,000 - $75,000

Depending on feature set, complexity, and timeline. Discovery defines exactly what that investment gets you.
